Unlike many EAS distribution systems, our design is not dependent on susceptible complex networks and terrestrial infrastructure. Instead, we utilize a single channel per carrier (SCPC) setup; the timeless and proven method of narrow band data transmission. The advantage of SCPC is the absence of any networks, phone lines or other complexity between the uplink and the destination receivers; only the satellite separates you from the receiver.

Note: We do offer the EAS option (Option Z) with most of our products, but for the most secure Emergency Alert System we strongly recommend the use of SCPC.
Satstream has announced an option for the SCPC EAS receiver which allows higher speed reception of EAS and CAP messages via satellite and an Internet CAP interface.
SatStream has announced an option for its standard SCPC EAS products which implements the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) for distribution of EAS and other alert information.
Additional Satstream SCPC receivers were ordered to add more warning sirens to Washington State's coastal network as part of an all hazards warning system.
Satstream has developed a special 2 channel SCPC audio receiver, currently under evaluation by All India Radio.
Satstream's low cost, low bandwidth SCPC receivers were chosen to get warnings out to sirens along the Washington State Coast.
