General Warranty Policy
Satstream Systems Corporation warrants its products to the original purchaser. The warranty period begins when the customer takes possession of the product, and ends exactly three (3) years from that date.
Limited Warranty Coverage
Should a product be proven defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, Satstream will, at its discretion, repair the product or replace it with an identical or similar model. This replacement may include new, remanufactured, or refurbished parts.
Satstream will provide one way shipping free of charge via regular Ground Service when shipping repaired/replacement products to the customer.
Limited Warranty Exceptions
- Product which has been damaged by any accident or from neglect, improper use, improper assembly, improper maintenance, inadequate return packaging, or negligent behavior by the customer or any third party. No warranty will be extended for damage to the products based on external causes such as, but not limited to, failure of or faulty electrical system, operator error or improper air conditioning. Satstream will not repair or replace product that has been sold or leased by the original purchaser to any third party.
- Defacing of product or product labeling (label alterations, serial number missing, serial number no longer discernible, serial number invalid). All serial numbers are recorded and tracked for warranty purposes.
- Any unauthorized modifications to any aspect of the product.
- Normal 'wear and tear.'
- Damage from shipment.
- Issues arising from incompatibility. (Note: special circumstances may apply.)
- Satstream is not responsible in part or in full for damages of any kind including, but not limited to, direct or indirect damages, lost finances, or any other incident, exemplary or consequential arising from the use of our products; even if Satstream, or any authorized distributor, dealer, or authorized service provider has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- Satstream reserves the right to alter this policy at any time for any reason without giving advanced notice.
Return Packaging and Shipping Information
- Remove all accessories and spare parts, returning only the bare unit.
Satstream is not responsible for accessories or spare parts. Please refrain from sending any unnecessary items including, but not limited to:
- Cables
- Mounting Brackets
- Manuals
- Literature
- Software
- Use OEM packaging if possible.
Enclose each individual unit in its own ESD (electrostatic discharge) bag.
- You must pay shipping charges for all shipments from your location to Satstream.
- If your product is still under warranty, Satstream will pay the return shipping charges for repair or replacement products sent to you via regular Ground Service.
- Ship your returned product(s) to Satstream using the carrier of your choice; preferably a carrier that provides shipment tracking and confirmation. Satstream will not be responsible for shipments lacking proof of delivery.
- Satstream will not be responsible for loss or damage during shipment. We recommend that you purchase the necessary freight insurance on all your shipments.
- You are responsible to pay all applicable duties and customs charges for shipments to Satstream. If your product is still under warranty, we will pay all applicable duties and customs charges for the return shipment of repaired or replacement units to you.
If your RMA is for multiple units, Satstream may, at its discretion, return these units in separate shipments as repair/replacement units become available. To avoid extra shipping charges as a result of this policy, you may request that Satstream hold all products for a single shipment.
